Anyone who knows my boys and I, knows that we LOVE Michael Jackson. A staple in our Disneyland routine is a viewing of the masterpiece, Captain EO. First-timers may think that the best view is smack dab in the middle of the theatre, or maybe even near the front. But experience has taught us that the absolute best place to enjoy Captain EO is in the waaay back, seated directly in the center of the screen. Not only is the 3D way less headache-inducing but you also get to enjoy additional special effects that you would otherwise miss sitting anywhere else. This particular viewing of the adventures of the Captain and his ragtag band of misfits had me thinking about the real-world implications of the perspectives we choose for ourselves. Oftentimes when we place ourselves too close to a situation, we get caught up in the details and our understanding lacks perspective. A greater understanding comes when we allow ourselves to take a step back and absorb the full experience for what it really is. We are able to see the big picture and how the pieces fit together. And this also helps us to understand what is most important...
... Like changing the world one tasty dance move at a time.
